Disney Interview Questions
I recently applied for the Cultural Exchange Program through yummyjobs and beforehand I’d researched what questions I might get asked, so I thought I’d do the same for you guys. All that’s left to do now for me is wait and see if I got through c: it’s gunna be a long month for me!
Pre-screen GROUP INTERVIEW
For this one both me and Tash had separate group interviews and we had some different questions asked to each group so I’ll just list them all down here.
+You have two minutes to talk to the person next to you. Introduce them.
+Do you have any tattoos?
+What can you bring to the company?
+What do you hope to gain from this experience?
+How would working at Disney help in your future career?
+On the job you may have to work long hours and Disney expects you to perform with a smile and 100% energy from start to finish. How would you stay motivated?
+How would you cope with untidy/unruly flatmates?
+What two roles would be your top choice? Why?
+What Disney character are you most like? Why?
+If you worked in Costuming and you were dressing a character who was nervous, how would you help prepare them?
+You are a character attendant. The character can only stay out for 20mins at a time and it’s time for them to go in. One family comes up to you and says it is their last day at the park and they have been dying to meet this character. What do you do?
+A family want to ride on, for example, Rockin’ Rollercoaster where there is a height restriction. One of the kids is too short by about 1cm. What do you do?
+Fantasia is a show that starts at 10pm, and is usually at full capacity by 8pm. You are one of three cast members explaining to around 100 guests that the show is full and they can not go in tonight. However one lady says that the rest of her family is already in there and seated. What do you do?
Second ONE-ON-ONE INTERVIEW
This interview for me was a very personal one; almost all questions were centred on my past and current experience so I’ll list some generic ones.
+What university course are you on?
+Why did you pick that course?
+Have you ever had a job in/involving that particular area?
+How would you explain teamwork?
+What are your past work experiences?
+Did you experience teamwork in your past/current work experience?
+Can you work individually as well as in a team?
+Explain why you want to do/what you would gain from your highest priority role choices.
+Rank your role choices 1, 2, 3, 4 etc…
+How are you going to cope with the heat?
+Are you okay with all of the fees?
-Try not to be cliché.
-Remember you are going there to WORK not for a HOLIDAY.
-Good things to include in your answers: team work, passion, magic, benefits my future career, etc
On Dec 3rd I received my email…
If anyone is going to be working at Walt Disney World, Florida, in the summer 2014 then please send me a message! I wanna get to know some people before I get there :D
Good luck to anyone applying in the future!
